High Hair ATC
These little artist trading cards are hiding a surprise—they grow taller when unfolded, to reveal ridiculously high hair. As they say in Texas, “the higher the hair, the closer to God”.
To make your own high hair ATCs, you’ll need:
- A High Hair kit, for sale here at Ten Two Studios.
- A ruler or straight edge.
- Chalk inkpads, if desired.
- A glue stick.
- Rhinestones, sequins, feathers, ribbons, glitter, or other embellishments, as desired.
- Tacky glue for embellishments.
- A cardstock ATC blank, if desired.
Print out the kit on cardstock, and roughly cut the pieces apart. Be sure to leave plenty of white around the Marie figures when you cut, so the guidelines remain visible.
Using a ruler or straight edge, fold the figure as indicated by the guidelines.
When folded properly, the top section of the hair meets the figure’s forehead, hiding the middle section of the wig.
Unfold the figure, and cut it out, removing the all the excess white cardstock.
Refold the figure. If there’s any white showing when the hair is folded, just trim it away white in the folded position.
Cut out the backgrounds and words, and edge all the pieces with chalk inkpads if you wish.
If you want your cards to be more stable, glue the background piece to a blank cardstock ATC using glue stick.
Apply glue stick to the unfolded portion of the figure.
Position the figure on the background as desired, and press in place. Glue the words onto the card where desired.
Decorate your card as desired.
