Basic Acrylic Backgrounds

This CD takes you through the first steps of working with acrylic paints to create your own unique backgrounds. You’ll learn the basics about paints, mediums, brushes and other applicators, and how to use them on various types of surfaces to create beautiful backgrounds in minutes. A must have for folks who do altered books! Like all my How-To Collection CDs, this one also includes printables—in this case, printable backgrounds created using the techniques shown on the CD. These will get you started while you’re learning to paint, and augment your digital background archives. $9.99

Each CD contains .pdf files that can be opened in Adobe Reader, containing instructions for each project, plus thumbnails of all the patterns and clip art included for that project. The patterns and clip art are presented as .jpg files, which can be opened on any computer. They’re ready to print and use—so, in theory, with minimal supplies, you should be able to start making these projects as soon as the CD arrives!
