Dead People

Each collage set is made up of two 8-1/2 x 11 inch sheets of images printed on 28lb. paper with a very high brightness to let the true colors shine through. Sheets come packaged together in a single clear protective sleeve, so you can organize your collage sheets in a standard binder.
About This Collage Set
Dead People is one of my best selling collage sets. It’s also the one that generates the most negative emails. Here’s the deal, people: Victorian post-mortem photography is highly collectible, and very hard to come by. People collect these photos because they’re sweet, heartfelt remembrances. Very often, these photos were the one and only image a family had of their lost loved one, since photography was a luxury for all but the very wealthy. They were taken with love and respect for the departed, at a time when people had very different views of death and dying than we do now.
I named this set Dead People because I didn’t want their to be any confusion about what was depicted in these images. These are, in fact. photos of dead people, and not, as so many innocently assume, people who are sleeping. I also hoped that the blunt title would encourage those who are sensitive to this subject matter not to click through to view the larger image on this page. If you did that, and are now disturbed by what you’ve seen—well, what the heck were you expecting?
I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase scans of an entire collection of PM photos before it was dissolved, and the photos auctioned off individually. I’m happy that I’m able to offer this set to those who can appreciate it. To those who can’t: please move on to any of the several hundred collage sheets and sets I offer that do not include this type of photography, and leave this set to those who can understand and appreciate the images for the treasures that they are.

I LOVE this sheet!
I had to laugh when I saw the title to this set of pics. Death photos by any other name are still dead people!! Love it!
