Deirdre fell in love with the whole idea of altered art after seeing some domino jewelry online. She started making her own altered art dominos, and eventually became obsessed with artist trading cards, inchies, altered art, and altered art jewelry. Deirdre says, "I always hope to keep challenging myself and learning as I go".

Below are just a few of the projects Deirdre has designed using products from Ten Two Studios. Recent blog posts showcasing her work can be seen using this link. More of her artwork can also be found on her blog.

Romance & Tragedy Bookmarks

Design team member Deirdre Attaway made these variations on envelope corner bookmarks. The ones above use images from Metal Tin Homespun, Valentine Bingo, and Valentine Words. The bookmarks below use images from Anti Valentine Bingo and Anti Valentine Sayings digital sheets, and the Femme Fatale collage set.

After Christmas Photo Album

Design team member Deirdre Roberts put together this letter book to hold a few favorite Christmas photos. What a great idea for family members far away—show them your holiday in pictures, in a pretty letter book! You’ll find letter books for several occasions here.

Last Minute Gift Packaging

Design team member Deirdre Attaway is so clever! She sent in this last minute photo of paper bags she’s using to package her holiday cookies. They’ve been decorated with images from Metal Tin Angels and Christmas Cheer Inchies.

Matchbook Notepads

Design team member Deirdre Attaway folded up some cardstock, stapled in some pretty papers, and decorated with images from Merry Elements. The result was these clever little matchbook notepads. Perfect, simple stocking stuffers!

Christmas Clips

Design team member Deirdre Attaway altered some wood clothes pins, turning them into pretty Christmas clips. Wouldn’t these look great holding up your holiday cards? Deirdre used images from Little Christmas, and words from Christmas Words.

Peace has been doodling, glueing, stitching and crafting as long as she can remember. She is self-taught in whichever art seems interesting at the moment, and inspired by an insatiable desire to make something from whatever is available. Peace is proof that creativity can spring out of anyone with ideas and motivation, even with little or no formal schooling or background. She proudly proclaims, "If I can, anybody can!"

Below are just a few of the projects Peace has designed using products from Ten Two Studios. Recent blog posts showcasing Peace's work can be found using this link. More of her artwork can be seen on her blog and on her Flickr photostream.

Rockin’ Postcard & Poisonous Valentine

Design team member Peace Schuyler made the Eric Clapton inspired postcard above using an image from the Red Things collage set and a red ticket from the Christmas Tickets assortment. She used a Red Print Mini Folder, and images from Red Things to create the not so loving card at left.

Bingo Card Hangers

For the next week or so, the Valentine’s Day eye candy will be giving equal time to Anti-Valentines—in a very unique way. Exhibit A:

Design team member Peace Schuyler made these pretty bingo card hangers using images from the Cherry Delight Bits & Pieces, and Chocolate Raspberry Bits & Pieces digital sheets. So sweet!

Peace also made these slightly less sweet hangers, using Gummy Spiders, Anti-Valentine Bingo, and Anti-Valentine Sayings digital sheets, plus a few images from the In Mourning sheet. So snarky!

Winter ATCs

Design team member Peace Schuyler made this set of artist trading cards using images from the Winter Wonderland microscope slide sheet and the Christmas Rounds sheet.

Chenille Doll Ornaments

Design team member Peace Schuyler always sends her photos to me with some sort of message that makes me laugh. In describing these little chenille doll ornaments, made using images from the Holly Jolly standard dominos sheet, a little Baker’s Twine, and some scraps from Red Print Mini Folders, she suggested I title this post, “these suckers only take like 10 minutes to make”, which totally made me laugh out loud. Good job, Peace!

Holiday House

Design team member Peace Schuyler was inspired by the little sugared houses I made for the October 2009 issue of The Monthly Muse. She made this larger version, decorated with images from the Christmas Labels sheet.

Carolyn Brady had dabbled in drawing, painting, collage, needlework, and other traditional arts since childhood, before finally discovering that she could combine all these together through mixed-media altered art. Her current obsessions include art quilts, small assemblages and ATCs. She has taught classes in altered books, altered art and collage and is the organizer of the Milwaukee Artist Trading Card group.

Below are some of the projects Carolyn has designed using Ten Two Studios products. Recent blog posts showcasing Carolyn's art can be viewed using this link. She cleverly used white dimensional paint for snow—less expensive than snow paint, and easier to handle on small surfaces.

Secret Santa ATCs

Design team member Carolyn Brady made these clever folding artist trading cards for a recent swap. Livia says she likes to use the dom images when making slide ornaments so she has that extra strip above and below for embellishment.

Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser is a full time mixed media lettering artist and calligraphy maverick living in southeast Michigan. When she's not busy writing and producing the No Shelves Zine, she is on the road selling her art at fairs and festivals throughout the country.

Below are just a few of the projects Patti has designed using products from Ten Two Studios. Recent blog posts showing Patti's artwork can be viewed using this link. More of Patti's work can be seen on her web site, and in the daily eye candy posts on the Ten Two Studios blog.

Hanging Hearts

Design team Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser made the heart-shaped door hanger shown at left using matboard textured with gesso & acrylic. She decorated with an image from the Little Love sheet and words from the Valentine Bordered Sayings digital sheet.

Patti also made the polymer clay and laminate chip hanger below, using images from In Mourning and Anti-Valentine Sayings.

Poe-tastic Ornament

Every year, at least one design team member sends in a Christmas ornament with Edgar Allan Poe on it. Here’s a version from design team member Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser. She made a transfer from an image from the Silly Santas collage set, applied it to a Clear ATC Base, and embellished it with a a Swirly Wire Hanger.

Blessed Ornament

Design team member Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser made a tiny piece of wall art from a soda can, embellished with one of the Madonna and Child faux postage stamps.

Shadowbox Ornament

Design team member Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser made this shadowbox ornament using an image from Winter Wonderland as a transfer.

Tea Tin Candle Holders

Design team member Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser turned her tea tins into candle holders, with a little help from French text pages, baker’s twine and images from Paris Ephemera.

I'm always looking for creative people to add to the group. Think you have what it takes? Apply here.

I am always looking for creative, enthusiastic mixed-media and altered artists who know how to think outside the box to join the Ten Two Studios design team. This team works with the products I design to create interesting projects for the front page blog.

I’m looking for:

Artists who are already creating at the top of their game, and can show me a large photo gallery of mixed-media and altered art.

Artists who can produce on demand, according to a deadline, and who can take direction. You should be someone who can find inspiration in anything that’s thrown at you.

Artists who have open minds, and broad styles. This means you should feel equally comfortable producing romantic and girlie, or dark and creepy.

At this time, I am only looking for artists who live in the United States, due to the cost of shipping supplies.

I’m NOT looking for:

Artists whose creative focus is rubber stamping, scrapbooking, painting, drawing or beading.

Artists who are already designing their own products. If you’ve already gone into business designing the types of products I produce, having you on the team would present a conflict of interest due to the types of conversations I have with the team.

Artists who are expecting to design products. Design team members do not participate in the actual product designs, beyond the occasional brainstorming session or suggestion.

Artists who already belong to multiple design teams, or to teams that produce products similar to mine.

In exchange for their work and good humor, design team members enjoy a variety of benefits including:

FREE products from Ten Two Studios to use in their artwork.

A FREE subscription to The Monthly Muse.

Inside information on what’s going on behind the scenes.

Promotion on the Ten Two Studios site, and through my weekly newsletter. This gets your work in front of over 4,500 subscribers every week!

Occasional private projects, such as altered book round robins and swaps.

Does this sound like your kind of thing? If so, please fill out the following form completely (all fields in this form are required, and must contain information in order for the form to be sent):

[contact-form-7]

Please make sure you send ALL the details listed in ONE contact form message, and that your email and web addresses are correct. I’m looking for folks who can follow directions, so this is your first test!
