These cards were originally produced in Great Britain in the 1930s. They were from W.D. &#038; H. O. Wills, manufacturers of Gold Flake, Woodbine and Star cigarettes. Each sheet contains 12 of the original 1-3/8 x 2-1/2 inch card designs (for a total of 24 on the two sheets), reprinted on cardstock,  packaged in a clear protective sleeve.

Way in the back of my favorite antique store, tucked in a little drawer, I found a full set of Girls of Many Lands from Major Drapkin &#038; Co. Near as I can tell, they were originally printed in London in 1929, as a set of 50 collectible cards tucked into tobacco packages.
