Matchbox Advent Calendar Giveaway
I made this sample for the Matchbox Advent Calendar kit—and instead of tossing it in the next box of samples I’m listing on eBay, I thought I’d give it away instead. One lucky winner will get an early Christmas present. Yay!

Here’s how to win:
- Leave a comment on this post, telling me your Christmas wish.
- One comment per person, please.
- Be nice. Don’t be greedy. Posts that ask me to pick you will be deleted.
- Don’t tell me your wish is to win this calendar. I’m clever enough to know that if you leave a comment on this post, you probably wish I’d draw your name.
- Be sure your comment is on THIS post. Christmas wishes left on other posts will not be appreciated, will not enter your name in the drawing, and will probably make me say ugly words as I delete them.
- On Friday, November 13th, I’ll draw a name from the wishes left here, and post it on the Ten Two Studios blog.
And yes, assuming that the winner contacts me promptly with her address, the calendar should arrive in time to start counting down the days on December 1st—because it will be shipped to you filled with goodies
ETA: The comments on this post are now closed. Thanks to everyone who left their wishes here. May they all come true.
The winner of the drawing for the matchbox advent calendar is…
Martha Yee
Congratulations! Martha, please email me with your address so I can send your prize out to you.

Hi,
My Christmas wish is to waken up on Christmas morning to the news that there is lasting world peace. All war everywhere has ended.
One of my wishes is to afford to go to the Brave Girls Retreat next year in Idaho. That would be a dream come true.
one simple wish that our family will be able to gain custody of our sick niece and raise her as our own for whatever time she has left…
My wish is that I will have the uncanny ability to give gifts that will be something that my loved ones really like but didn’t even know they wanted!
My Christmas wish is that I would find my missing wedding ring.

My wish is to get a tree up long enough to take Christmas pictures before the 12-month-old grandson gets to it. (We might have to put the tree in the playpen.)
My wish is for people to realise what counts during the festive season is presence (of family & friends) not presents that add to credit card debt and clutter the house!
My fondest wish for Christmas would be for my daughter and my relationship to heal.
What a gorgeous calendar! My Christmas wish is to be able to spend the day with the ones I love. XXX
My wish is that my whole family will be with us this holiday season, happy & healthy.
Hi, Lisa!
My wish for Christmas this year is to just get through it without any major fall out from any of my kids or grandkids. It seems every year one of them is unhappy about something, and just once I would like to be able to sit back and enjoy the holidays without hearing any complaining or whining. I think my chances of getting my wish are slimmer than Heather’s wish for lasting world peace!
My wish is that my 92 year old mom will be able to enjoy many more healthy Christmases with us, because we are spoiled now by having her, and love that she is fit as a fiddle and still going strong!
My wish is that I would not stress the holidays. That the making and baking would be fun and not a “have to”. It’s really all about spending time with family and friends, isn’t it? The real gifts to exchange with each other are friendship and kindness!
Hi Lisa,
My wish is to have at least one of our children call or send a card.
My wish for this Christmas, above all else, is for Greg to come back home to us so that we can rebuild our family and enjoy one another again.
My christmas wish? Let there be Peace, and let it begin with me
My wish is that my children will always believe in the magic of the season, and know that even though they are far away they are in my heart every minute.
My wish is that life should be a peaceful, healthy, happy, smooth experience for all Earthlings like me…;o)
My Christmas wish is for all of us traveling to be together to arrive safely and to return home the same way.
My wish is for 6 year old Isabella French to be cancer free.
My Christmas wish is that next year (2010) be better than this year has been. 2009 has not been good and I am hoping that all the “bad luck” goes with the new year…
my wish…that my husbands social security benefits will start in time to pay our back property taxes,so we don’t loose our home !
I wish I could learn how to stop accidentally hurting people’s feelings. I seem to have a way of writing that when people read what I’ve written, they are offended.
my wish is that both my kids will be able to come down here for the holidays and that everyone will be happy and healthy
My with for Christmas is that when all familys get together thay have a peacfull happy time. Than No mothers and children have to run to shelters to get away from violent partners and fathers.
I wish I will make my son“s christmas like the ones I had as a child.
Lots of snow, smiling faces and love.
Lots of food, candy and fun, but only a few gifts per person.
I wish my husband gets a job. He is the kindest and the most optimistic person. This big company relocated us from Seattle and then after we up rooted our family and friends.. they laid him ( and 4000 others) off last xmas. My wish is that he and all others start getting jobs.
Thanks Lisa.
My wish is for eveyone elses wish to be granted
My wish is simple. I’d like to see my family all in one place on Christmas day. The way things are with my older son, I’m not sure he wants this, though.
My wish is to be able to save enough money up to have the wheelchair ramp built for our daughter by Christmas. I hope that doesn’t sound greedy, and I probably should have wished for world peace, but this is something that’s been on my mind a LOT lately…
My wish is that my family remains healthy and happy
My wish is for world peace as well as personal peace and a wonderful holiday season for us all.
My wish is to be able to spend Christmas with my adorable niece and nephew!
My wish is for my mother and I to be able to rub along better with one another as we are forced to live with one another once more. She can’t live on her own, I am not working, and I really don’t feel that she should be in a nursing home, where I know she will not be happy at all. So more tolerance, on both sides, in 2010 – and sooner!
My wist this Christmas is that my nephews ,One of which I havent seen for 20 years will be able to come for the Holidays. It would be so Wonderful to have our family together after such a long time.
He lost his mother a few years back and most of his family lives near us. It really would be the best Christmas ever!
I so wish that my husband will meet his only two grandsons. They live so far away.
My father is terminally ill, and since this is his last Christmas, my wish is that our family would have a wonderful time and cherish the memories of our last holiday with him.
My wish is that all of us would find a needy person and spend time and share food with her (him), instead of thinking only in buying things nobody really needs.
Each year I send a similar message: May this year be better than you even dream. May all your wishes come true and May your first wish be for PEACE
I like Irene’s wish that everyone’s wish be granted!! I wish for general well being for all!
A house!! please!! I love my in-laws, but I need to have a craft room of my again…
My wish is for health and peace for everyone, and for my grandchildren to live in a world where there is peace and goodwill everywhere.
My wish is to find the spirit of Christmas again and never let it out of my heart. It’s been a long, hard stretch for many reasons and I so want to believe in hope and new beginnings, like I used to. REALLY believing in possibilities again ~ that’s my Christmas wish.
My wish is more an on going prayer for world peace, good health & prosperity for all mankind.

My Christmas wish would be to be able to spend a couple of days away from home together with my man. It’s been crazy and stressful here over the past months and the last time we had some real time together-and-away was in 2007.
My Christmas Wish is for all the world to be Peaceful, no wars, no sicknesses, no weather calamities, and for all families to spend the Holidays together! That’s Perfect Peace! Now that’s a big wish to have come true!
My Christmas wish…that peace will be, all will have homes & food to eat, and that all will find happiness in life. Personally, I would like to find out that my Long Term Disability lawsuit has been won and I will be getting payment.
I’m quite a selfish person – I am aware of the fact and I’m too old to change much. I wish to be here for my 85th birthday (next October) and if I make it that far I would look forward to Christmas.
My Christmas wish . . . that we all start to make the change we want to see in the world … a little more patience, love and kindness shown to those close to us will go a long way!
So many wishes….
that my husbands weird symptoms go away
that we can pay off our debts;
that all of my friends and family who lost someone this year come to terms with it and continue living their lives;
that my parents and in-laws continue to live so that they can see my son and any future kids grow older;
that our house become bigger so I can have a craft room again;
that I never have to work again, but have full medical benefits, so I can be a SAHM.
My Christmas wish is that the weather holds so my siblings and I all make it Florida for a long awaited reunion.
My Christmas wish is for safe travel for those visiting loved ones and a special prayer for the men and women serving our country who will be away from their loved ones.
My Christmas wish is that a dear friend does not have to spend the holidays without her husband, who is gravely ill.
My wish is to have the opportunity to go back to Africa next year (I went for ten days this summer on a Mission Trip and left part of my heart there).
My Christmas Wish is that I will be able to give everyone that is special to me something that I have handmade them that shows them how much I care about them and how important they are in my life – whether it is a special ornament made from a domino, or an ATC using specialty paper that I have been ‘hoarding’…soemething that will last and will remind them of my love every time they look at it!

Well you certainly have a wonderful site. My Christmas Wish is to see my brother and meet his long time girlfriend whom I have never even spoken to. Also, I work on Fort Hood with children of deployed soldiers, so it is my wish that all of them come back no worse for wear.
I wish for my son to be back into a job again soon, so that he will be able to buy the little house that meant a step forward in life for him after all.
My Christmas wish is that all those who are fortunate enough to be with family or friends this holiday season will include others from their community who might otherwise be alone.
I wish for a happy and healthy new year for myself, my family, my friends, and everyone else too!
My Christmas wish is that my Mom will know who I am. She has Alzheimer’s and thinks I’m her Mother.
I know this is going to sound sooo unChristmasy, but my wish for this Christmas is ‘no’ snow. Yup, I know, your saying “What is she thinking?” And, “Don’t let the kids read this.” And what will the snowmen think? Snow-people??
But last year there was so much snow you couldn’t get out of the driveway, let alone drive down the street. My brother and I and most of the neighbours spent hours and hours out there digging out the street, trying to clear it to the main road. We drove in snow grooves for months.
So maybe a little fall of snow to keep Christmas Christmas, but please, no major dump.
My Christmas wish is for Peace on Earth. I wish that everyone would stop hating each other. Bur on a more realistic plain I would love to win the Matchbook Advent Calender. On another higher plain I wish all the families that have a chance to be together be glad for their time with each other and have a Merry Christmas.
My wish is that we have a cool Christmas – since my dream of a White Christmas will only happen if I go looking for snow! LOL! – and may the New Year bring lots of money so next year we can go up North for our White Christmas!!!
My Christmas wish is for World Peace, so we can bring all our military people home to be with their families.
I do love the advent calendar, never seen one like it before. Merry Christmas everyone and May all your wishes come true.

My wishes are for No one to be lonely and Everyone to be kind. Peace. k
I’m wishing for the Michigan economy to improve, and the school budgets not to be cut as much as they are forecasting.
That we will be done painting our downstairs before guests arrive on Dec 12 so that we all are able to really enjoy each moment and relish the gift of this time we will have together. Merry Christmas Everyone. I know its early but this is getting me in the mood.
It’s been a hard year for everyone with the economy. My wish is that everyone enjoy an old fashion Christmas, getting back to the things that make us happy and can’t be bought. Here’s a warm wish to everyone to have a happy and safe holiday. Oh, one other thing, hug your kids often, they grow up, move away, and you’ll miss them like crazy!
My wish is to be healthy enough to be with my family during the holidays and not be such a burden to my husband. I wish to ride on the back of his Harley someday soon! Enough about me, I wish with all my heart happiness for my sons, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and husband and for them to be safe always.
My Christmas wish is for World Peace.
No more wars, nowhere. Peace in our hearts, in our minds.
And, as I usually don’t get World Peace — I wish for it every year, you know — I would like to second Penny’s wish for NO snow. I’m not too fond of snow.
I usually don’t have Christmas wishes, but this year I do. And that is for my husband to get better, hopefully well. A back-up wish is to get snow.
My Christmas wish is to rediscover the joy and true meaning of the season. i want to have time to make handmade cards and gifts for my friends and family, and to bake cookies and gingerbread houses. this is my way of looking on the bright side of becoming unemployed this week.
