Marie on a Stick
My friend Mike and I have a running joke about selling beer on a stick at the Ren faire. so when design team member Rosie Rowe sent in this piece under the subject line “Marie on a Stick”, I roared with laughter. Then I opened it and saw the pic, and decided I should wave this pretty wand over her and make her Queen for the Day.
To make the wand, Rosie used the Duchess Doll Bodies and Duchess Wing Set digital sheets, and the instructions for the Ribbon Fairies. Instead of adding a hanging loop at the top, she attached her finished fairies to a coffee stirrer.

Ideal for all “little girls”, aren’t they?!! =)
This is really cool! I could use something like this to decorate so many rooms or functions!
Wouldn’t they look great – one at each table? =)

I love her! I especially like her wings and dress made of ribbons! What a great idea! I can see her with her butterfly wings in a pot filled with flowers, real or paper. Thanx for sharing!
These are wonder. I think they would be great with glitter, jazzy ribbon and hanging on the tree at Christmas or a birthday with Marie as the theme.
Fairy-Marie at the top of the tree??? ;o)
This would be a good idea for a little gir’s b-day party- or a sweet sixteen using the face of the b-day girl and her friends. It always amazes me how clever people are using the same materials.
Love the idea of ANYTHING on a stick! LOL! So this just tickles me silly! Great idea, Rosie! You never fail to bring a smile to my face!
Thanks for making me Queen, Lisa! I have thoroughly enjoyed that title!! The new look of the site is FAB!! Dead good, in fact! =)
