4th Anniversary Giveaway #2
Always creative, always exploring, design team member Rosie Rowe has done a series of puzzle pieces lately. To create the piece shown at left, she used images from the Little Men and Little Children collage sheets.
For the piece at right, she used images from the Go Ask Alice collage set, which also includes the words she chose.
And to create this third piece, she chose images from the Black and White Microscope Slide sheet.
Leave a little comment love for Rosie, and you’ll be entered in today’s 4th anniversary drawing for a free subscription to The Monthly Muse—and also, in the drawing on the 5th for FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF COLLAGE GOODIES. Remember, comment love, not “enter me in the drawing”!

I love altered puzzle piece art – such fun. These are great. I especially love “From Cutie Pie to Pennywise” – too cute.
These are so cool! A friend of mine was using puzzle pieces to make pins, but collaging them really
makes these special. Great idea!
Rosie, the altered puzzle pieces you created are great, I love the “hatch marks” you added to the background. I plan to incorporate these great ideas in my next piece. Thanks, Sammye Toulmin
Congrats, Lisa! Love you site. Those puzzle shapes are awesome!
Wonderful idea. Are these regular puzzle pieces? The size is hard to determine from the photos. So many options with this idea- I will definately try it out. I have plenty of old puzzle pieces!
I love puzzle pieces…really enjoyed what u have done with them
Rosie – How clever you are – I LOVE what you have done with the puzzle and collage sheets.
These would make wonderful little ornaments – or pins or perhaps they could even be strung together to make a bracelet. N
These are absolutely gorgeous. I love puzzles and now that I’ve seen these I will definitely case a few for some cards or whatever. I guess it could be the card all by itself depending on the size of he puzzle piece.
Thanks for this wonderful idea!
Rosie,
Great eye candy with use of different images. I love puzzle pieces, can’t wait to try my hand at these. Thanks for the ideas,
Linda
Loved the altered puzzle pieces, not too overdone, like alot of “creative art”…clever wording, and
great pictures.
Puzzle pieces are not always easy to work with depending on their shapes…the ones here look particularly hard. However, Rosie must have worked her magic creating the three pieces. My favorite is the red one with Alice in Wonderland!
I love the altered puzzle pieces, especially the way you incorporated mixed media into the top one. Good job!
I really love work like this. It’s great to see something ordinary turned fun and unique.
Wow! These are great! Love puzzle pieces, but I can never find them.
Wow! These are lovely. I just adore puzzle pieces.
These are great! I think I like the one with Alice in Wonderland the best – although it’s hard to choose!
Wow! Love what you did with these pieces and the art you chose for them. I have never tried a puzzle piece but after seeing these I think I want to give it a try! Thanx for sharing!
I have never tried working with puzzle pieces, but these are great!
Puzzle pieces are always fun and I love what you have done with them. Inspires me to want to go home, pull some out and play with them.
Until later,

I love the clown piece. It’s creepy, yet pretty. Very cool!
Rosie, these are wonderful! I am a sucker for anything Alice in Wonderland related so that took my heart right away. I’m always happy to see people do things with puzzle shapes. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t played with them at some time in their life. Great job! Most of all, thanks for sharing!
Wow, how did you find those unique shapes? Most of the puzzle pieces I have are die cut the same dumb shape. Yours look like wood, very cool!
I’ve done altered puzzle pieces, but never like these!!! They are great, guess I
will have to drag some puzzle pieces out and see what I can do…
This is the first time I have visited this site, but it won’t be the last. So many good ideas here. I love the puzzle pieces and would like to know what size they are. I love cutie pie. The gold edge really sets the piece off.
I would love to see all these pieces joined together to make one crazy quilt patchwork. Very creative, and such variety!
Very cool! As an art teacher on a budget, I see how you can do a lot with such a small “canvas”!
OMG, I love the last one, from “Cutie Pie” to “Pennywise”. The look on that child’s face is so suitably…well, formidable…and I love the creativity involved in that piece, to see that. The red background on the 2nd piece is gorgeous. Awesome job!
I just love those puzzle pieces. Especially the red one with Alice. The clown on the black & white looks a bit scary to me.
Excellent puzzle pieces Rosie, my favorite is “love reminds me..” . I have some puzzle pieces lying around waiting for the right project and you have made me think that it is time to dust them off again and start creating. Thanks for sharing.
How fun! Love your site, and your work!
I’m not really into puzzle pieces, but I really like the third one. I do like all the little white marks on them.
Nice use of the puzzle pieces! I especially like the red, black and white color combination!

Rosie…these are toooo cool….you’ve got me thinking what I could do with ALL sizes of puzzle pieces….I’ve used small ones on charm necklaces and bracelets, but I left them “as is”….collaging them like you did would make for some very interesting pieces….rave on, girl!
I love puzzle pieces!! These are fantastic! Beautiful work, Rosie.
What a great idea! These are lovely! The Alice one just “speaks to me.”
Love it Lisa! I just might have to try this too!
My favorite is the first puzzle piece, I love everything about it! Peoples creativity never ceases to amaze me. This would make a nice embellishment. I look forward to seeing more of your art. Sue
Clever work, Rosie. I especially love the on with the domino faces, the clown and the baby. I love that collage sheet, and yes, I own it!!! Now I have yet another idea for how to use it! xoSusan
I love these, they are just fantastic! I have always loved Alice In Wonderland. Great fun!
Cheers!
this is uncanny- I am in a swap for altered puzzle pieces for the first time also! I just recently happened upon this website, and am delighted to see the images used in your projects. I am a die-hard Alice fan, and really love that one. Your pieces are very interesting!
Puzzle pieces are truly unique. Nice work! Would be interesting to know what size they are….
I love working with puzzle pieces and yours are great, especially Alice! Thanks for sharing!
Wow I just participated in a puzzle swap. Yours are fantastic. Love all three of them.
