063009rosiecAnd to create this third piece, she chose images from the Black and White Microscope Slide sheet.

I have just painted two puzzle pieces, so what more inspiration can i get. They are all so different and all of them look great.

  • Laura says:

Wow, Rosie, those puzzle pieces are awesome! It’s interesting that all three are left-edge pieces — did you choose those particular pieces for a reason? They’re all great, but my fave is little Alice! Thanks so much for sharing!

  • Therese says:

Rosie, all of your puzzle pieces are unique and great eye candy. I love the unique shapes of your puzzle pieces. So glad you shared.

  • Meta says:

These are a very clever way of using old puzzle pieces. I can see these being used for all sorts of other
art projects, from collage to jewelry. I especially like the Alice piece, I have a soft spot for this story and the piece conveys the the scene well. I’ll have to give this a go soon.

  • Lori Northon says:

I love your puzzle pieces, Rosie, especially the third one. What a great altered piece! I think using large puzzle pieces is such an interesting idea, and I really like that you’ve retained the shape of the piece rather than hiding it.

  • Kitty says:

I saw these on her blog (I think) and I absolutely loved the idea that puzzle pieces can be altered this way. Besides the fun they offer they look like perfect small tokens for couples :)

  • Susan Shaw says:

    Rosie, what an inovative idea!!!!!
These are “pieces” that one can complete in just a few minutes. What a wonderful project for times when one needs to create but not a lot of time. They lend themselves to a series as well. Leave no stray puzzel piece unaltered!!!!!

  • Bine says:

Wow, what a great work – I love these puzzle pieces. My favorite is the last piece.

    Best wishes from Germany

  • jean brown says:

what i noticed right away were the color choices for these three pieces, sort of a tarnished gold, ruby, and bronze. they look great together! i love colors that are subtle, and don’t look as if they’re right out of the bottle. they make the images pop even more when those images are black and white. (now, to remember where i stashed my puzzle pieces…)

  • Gloria Freeman says:

These are truly beautiful. . . very imaginative and well done!!!
