Gayle’s creativity is amazing. I love what she did with the plain brownbag book. She even used the tags that came with the book to make it extra special. It’s funny she used the Dickens page for this book because I just finished reading a book that had tons of quotes from Dickens but alas they were from “Christmas Carol” and not “Great Expectations!” Maybe “Christmas Carol” can inspire another couple of pages of collages!!

Wow Gayle! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into creating this amazing booklet. Thank You For the inspiration as I begin my mixed media art journey. I have always been interested in mixed media but have only began working in it myself as I had only done photography in the past.

Gayle, I would not have known the project base was a paper bag book.
I love how you did “underlaps” by cutting or folding back a page so that the next page peeks out from behind. your use of fancy lace added to the feeling of the book. It has inspired me.

It is amazing work like this that is really helping me move “out of my box”. I used to think I had to buy the correct paper and the correct embellishments . . . now no junk mail, advertising poster, fortune cookie fortune, cracker jack prize, or cereal box is safe from me!
