Beautiful Mail
In the February 2009 issue of The Monthly Muse, I gave instructions on making decorated envelopes that will survive being handled by the postal service. I challenged subscribers to send me an envelope, made using those instructions.
Here’s the first envelope I’ve received, from the fabulously talented Laure Janus. Laure’s envie made it through looking fresh, and is now hanging on the wall of my office. Thanks for sending it in, Laure—I’ve added an extra month to your current subscription to The Monthly Muse.
If you’re not a subscriber to The Monthly Muse, what the heck are you waiting for? The price for a six month subscription is now a ridiculously low $15—that’s just $2.50 per issue. Get the details, plus a free trial issue here.

I’ve scrolled through quite a few messages and people use these things in the cutest ways. They look great for scrapbooking, too.
She is, indeed, very talented. I love the old graphics she used and the “Dick and Jane” reader style print in the background. Very, very cute. I would love to get a letter like this
What fun! I’m sure it brought a smile to everyone who handled it!
I like the vintage look of it.
