Giveaway #2
UPDATE: The winner of giveaway #2 is craftydame. Congratulations! (Comments on this post are now closed.)
Design team member Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser turned some corks, an old wooden stamp mount and some wire into this clever photo holder. In keeping with her pink and red theme, she decorated it with images from the Little Pink Things collage sheet, and shows it in action here holding some of the Be Mine faux postage stamps.
Little collage sheets are filled with smaller imagery suitable for jewelry, ATCs and other tiny treasures. Each 8-1/2 x 11 inch sheet contains armloads of small images. See them in all sorts of themes here.
Leave a comment for Patti to enter into Valentine’s giveaway #2. At the end of the day, I’ll draw a name, and the winner will receive a free six month subscription to The Monthly Muse.

I like the use of the corks. People are always giving them away of my local freecycle and I am constantly thinking these have to be more crafty things to do with them.
What a wonderful use of what another might discard- the earth is happy to have an artist that helps out in such a way!
I love this idea. . . I have so many corks from the many, many bottles of wine I’ve shared in my day, and I have too numerous to count wooden blocks from stamps I’ve bought and then turned into stamps to use with acrylic blocks. . . so this is a great idea for birthday/Christmas/whatever gifts for people. . . and a great way to display photos. . . think I’ll start with a display for my son’s “pictures with Santa” from when he was a little boy as well as Christmas pictures of my brother and me when we were little — they’ll be great to set around at Christmas!!! Thanks, Patti, for your creativity with this great idea!!!
Super idea for using up those old corks……I like it a lot…recycling at its best!!!
My kids gave me a bunch of corks and I didn’t come up with anything clever to do with them. this would be a great way to use them and give them back as a creative gift to display pics of their darling daughter. It’s a terrific idea.
Patti, this is very lovely with a touch of funk…love it! I think it would be great as a place card holder or used at a buffet to hold the food names (not very well put, but I think you know what I mean)

Hi, Patti! This is an amazingly creative use for old corks. I just happen to have a bag of them stashed down in the bottom drawer in my kitchen. I think I might just have to give something like this a try and see what I come up with. Too cool!
I wanted to comment on the first day’s project as well, but I think the comments must be closed due to the giveaway. So I’ll post it here. I love how the tags are so simple, yet you don’t notice because they’re excellently executed. Great job.
And now my comment about the photo holder. I’ve been so amazed these last few days with the originality of the art posted here, and today is no exception. Great idea, wonderfully constructed.
